“Change in all things is sweet,” Aristotle wrote. In correspondence with this essential truth, beginning
with the February, 2012 issue, Rittenhouse Book Distributors will change the
name of this space from The Rittenhouse Quarterly Report to The Rittenhouse
Update.
The Rittenhouse Update will feature specialized editorial content for
retail and library users, perspectives from industry leaders and other essential
and topical content. The forthcoming title data that is the foundation for the
current Rittenhouse Quarterly Report will remain in place with The Rittenhouse
Update. As our industry continues to redefine itself, Rittenhouse is committed
to providing you with the essential content and information you need to do your
job effectively. At the same time, we want to help keep you on top of key trends
and share practical strategies and perspectives. The new Rittenhouse Update will
be one tool to help you meet your daily demands.
Rittenhouse Book Distributors has launched a new series of free Continuing Education Webinars for library and retail partners designed to help our customers navigate the specific challenges of their day-to-day operations in the rapidly-changing world of health science publishing. The series kicked off in October with robust attendance for the initial presentations, and all webinars are presented by members of the Rittenhouse Sales Team.
The Continuing Education Webinar Series has separate tracks for retail and library partners. The Library Series began on October 18 with “eBook Acquisition: Planning and Forecasting,” and future webinars will explore budgets, collection management and other pertinent topics. The Retail Series kicked off on October 19 with “Maximizing Margins in a Turbulent Economy,” and future webinars will go on to discuss inventory management methods, quantity to cover strategies and other essential topics for retail booksellers.
The focus of these webinars will be industry trends, but we will also offer practical tips to help you do your job more effectively. The Rittenhouse Sales Team will present topics within their areas of expertise and experience. As health science specialists, Rittenhouse has a unique and specialized perspective on many current challenges faced by our partners, and we look forward to sharing these perspectives with a wider audience.
Registration is open for upcoming webinars in the first group of presentations. Library partners can click here to register. Retail partners can click here. The Continuing Education Webinar Series is set to run through 2012.
